Mine has held together very well and it's 10+ years old. I did break a spring but it was a cheap $40 repair. I bolted mine together so it doesn't fold. Tows great and I have added a few extras.
Get the wheels balanced. Trust me on this.
I bolted a waterproof tool box and spare to the tongue. A jack too.
Installed stainless eye hooks all around. Use red locktite on these if you choose to add.

I'm thinking about a 6x12 utility trailer. Something to carry my bikes or atvs.

Trailers are made to be as light as they need to be , that way your not wasting valuable wated wieght on the axle , I have a interstate 6x12 inclosed, and the floor crossmembers are a lot thinner and more flexable then you might expect. stiffen when floor is atached.
When you atach the flooring , use a few more bolts ,to stiffin it up . Spend the extra couple of bucks and get 3/4" marine ply wood , it will take the weather , and last more then a few yrs, I put a new floor in mine in 2001 and painted the underside with homedepot opps paint , 2 coats , not a bit of rot yet.
As always with HF stuff , some improve ments need to be made or atleast looked after and inspected on a regular basis, any bolt that might have stress , like neer the tongue , keep an eye on, I replaced mine with garde 5 and lock tight , and bought more sucure clips that have no chance of falling off.
The biggest reason why these little trailers don't tow well , is they are not loadedv corectly. You need tongue wieght , don't try to be a mathamatition engineer, and use calculas. Just put ur wieght in frnt of the axle, test it and adjust. Not enght tongue wieght or off balance to 1 side will make it a lane changer. And bearings don't go bad if you add a little to much grease.

Ps I've seen spare tires as low as $25 on sale and front tire bike lock stand as low as $29 , but mostly $39.oo . 20% off coupon in any automotive magazine and most Sunday paper in the comic section or coupon section
And that looks like a 4k lbs tongue jack , overkill?

The Quincy and Weymouth stores have a 5'x8' steel mesh trailer for $728. I might pick one of these up.
