Hi Guys,
I bought an 07 FZ6 this past Friday. The bike has integrated turn signals for the rear. I am guessing this would not pass the MA state inspection.
I would need a Rear fender kit with a license tag holder.
I am in Westborough,MA and fairly new to the area.
I know more about the alien life forms on Mars than I do about putting parts together.I was wondering if you knew a good place to have this done either at a cycle shop or some guy who does this privately.

Welcome to the area man. I'm right next door in shrewsbury let me know if there's anything I can do to help or if you just wanna ride sometime. Good luck with the fender eliminator.
Before you spend a bunch of time 'fixing' it because you think it's going to fail, I'd have someone official fail it first. Just take it to an inspection station and let them be the judge. Some places seem to be a little more strict than others in my experiences.
Edit: Though I guess that depends on how your license plate is right now. You didn't talk about that. If it is obscured from view, you might like this thread http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...55-ticket.html
Remember these words when questioned, "oh, I just bought it, previous owner did that". Also, try not to profess too much ignorance, you may be read as a sucker who is a goldmine for work to be performed by anyone less than honest.

Take a picture and post it here. Blur the numbers though.

This inspection place that I’ve been to seems very easy to pass. Last year I took my bike there. My brake light wouldn’t come on when the front brakes were applied. He still passed me and told me to fix it, which I did. The place is called “Cooks Cycle”. And it’s on route 1 in Foxboro. You can give this place a try.
I took this info off of their website.

FWW- I would strongly consider putting a plate holder and signals back on in place of the signal/ brake light combo. The inegrated light for the FZ-6 is not visible at all any other time than late at night.
Hello folks,
Thank you for your input. I ended up taking it to Performance Cycles in Shrewsbury. A bit on the pricey side but good guys and conveniently located.
I should have my bike back in a couple of days.
Peace

They are very good guys there indeed. One of the more-professional acting dealers around, IMO.
I should add that I'm glad you decided to do the right thing. While integrated turn signals may seem cool, getting rear ended because the cage behind you didn't see a turn signal or noticed that you slowed without using brakes absolutely isn't worth the added risk.
