Maine will honor your valid out of state inspection for an automobile. You don't need a ME inspection until your out-of-state inspection expires. Does anyone know if that's true for motorcycles too?
One difference is sticker placement - on the windshield for cars and on the plate for bikes. So I don't see how they'd know you had a valid inspection without pulling you over.

NH puts bike inspections on the left fork leg. Don't have to get my UTV inspected

Just in case anyone else has the same question someday, here's the answer -
First, the Maine State Police are responsible for inspections, not the DMV.
What I was told is:
If you can remove the Mass inspection sticker and put it on the Maine plate, they will honor the inspection for 1 year from date of issue.
If not, then it has to be inspected.
So it's the same policy as cars, but the sticker has to be moved to the Maine plate.
