I got my HF one in October. Bolted it to a pallet and man, I just find excuses to swap tires now. Pledge makes the experience both smooth and lemony scented!

Well i have to say, my first tire swap went pretty good. Take it off the bike, change tire, balance tire and back on the bike in an hour. Not bad and i'm sure I can cut that time in half or more with some practice
And i'm pretty fussy about wheel scratches and i didn't see any new marks on my front wheel...though i can see risk of it happening.
Nice new 2CT of the front of the R1, I'll probably do the rear tomorrow night.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Hmm, changed the rear this evening and it wasn't quite as fun. Someone care to give me some tips other than the instructions that came with this thing? The front was cake, the rear was like wrestling a bull to get the new one on. No matter what i did, i couldn't get the rim to stop spinning in the clamps?
One things for sure tho, I waited to long to change out the Dunflops...wow it's like I got a new bike

When you are putting the tire on keep it in the center of the rim. Keep pushing the bead down past where it would sit on the rim.
I know this is kind of personal but what are you using for lube? I just use dish soap and water.
I did that per the instructions using my hip. The front was easy, the rear is what gave me trouble and I did them both the same way? It felt like I was going to rip the stand from the floor
Yes, it is personal..the lube I used was called DNA...wat?
Seriously though, I used the lube and spray bottle that came with the kit, just says tire lube on it and is a jelly like stuff. Mix it with water and spray it on

If you need to try that hard, something is wrong. Purple power is a great tire lube and when I have seen people have trouble its always the beads not being in the "drop zone". That's the valley in the center of the rim. Top bead AND bottom bead.

That's almost always the issue.Originally Posted by R7
