Market dropping on first gen EFI bikes?

In the past couples weeks I've seen EFI SRADs, GSXR600K1, F4i, and even a spent TL1000R for less than 1500$ The TL was $800 with title, ran and rode.
The F4i $1,500. Black and yellow. Needs cam chain tensioner. Orginal fairings.
The K1 was painted orange but still, it was only $500.
And if I told you what I bought an all original 1999 Hayabusa for a couple weeks ago, you'd faint.

    Has the market finally dropped?

It's also the end of summer, prices generally do drop some but it looks like you've found some abnormal deals

Also those bikes are getting older and their mileage higher. But usually this is the best time to buy cause people gotta decide if they gonna keep n store or sell

I look for bikes all year round, in the last few years I have never seen any of those bikes that cheap.

You're looking at 14+ yearold bikes. Aren't those prices considered the norm?

Exactly, are you like me? When someone tells us 10 years ago do you still think of the 90s? Lol

I look at ancient bikes on CL. Those prices do seem surprisingly low.

No, they're not. If they were, I wouldn't made the thread.

I think if youre paying much more than that youre not getting a decent deal, i mean wevcan get much newer bikes for around $1500-2000 lol

Where do you guys find these deals? I'm seeing clapped out bikes from those years going for $2500+. My buddy wants $3000 for his 03 ZX6R with 25K on the clock lol.

    SRAD GSXR's aren't EFI.
They stopped them around 2000 I thought.
I haven't seen a K1 got for under $3500, and frankly I wouldn't even consider selling mine that low.

Technically all newer ones are still SRAD because they're all ram air.
I was referring to when they stopped putting those stupid stickers on them in 2000

I hate you Garret. You know why? Because you buy so many cool bikes cheap, and then sell them, and probably make money on them. When I buy bikes, I usually pay too much, and then hoard them. Even if they're not ride-able, I like to stare at them in the garage and envision what they could be. I may have a problem. Sell me that RTV'ed LT500?

    Hehe I try.
I'm putting it back together tomorrow (finally got all the parts in) and hopefully I'll get to ride it once before I sell it. I think I'm going to get out of the ATV game. It needs tires and odds and ends.

I haven't looked it up but I would have bet 2001 was first year of EFI....for the 750 at least.

I just ran the meta analysis; there wasn't any statistically significant difference in average sale price of 1st gen efi bikes

Curious where you get your information. And is that nation-wide?
Just to confirm, you're talking about sale prices and not asking prices?

As others stated it's that time in the season when bike prices drop significantly. Also the prices you referenced don't mean shift w/o pics and the actual ads to look @ it.
