Anyone have a paintshop in the Boston or N. Mass area they can recommend? I am planning on buying a 600RR Mondayand heard that Honda didn't clearcoat the bike. There have been a bunch of complaints on the CBR board about the paint scratching easily. I'm thinking that having a clearcoat layer added would be cheap insurance.
I don't know how far he is or how busy, but I've seen some nice stuff from Collision Pro.
Mike has a login here (Collision Pro), maybe shoot a PM to him and ask how far he is from Boston.

I agree with that. Mike can give you the best advice on paint topics. He's the paint king !
Mike is the way to go man. Not everyone knows how to paint bikes nice.

I stopped to see if my dealer had any 600RR's today, all were Clearcoated.
Is it just a bad batch that don't have the Clearcoat?
600RR BLACK
As far as I know, Honda does not clearcoat any of their bikes any more. My RC51 certainly is not clearcoated. Honda uses colored plastic to make their fairings (and 600RR tank covers).
derek
How do I get in contact with Mike or anyone in the NH area I need my Tail section painted to match the factory Yamaha blue.
