Thanks man. I have it sitting on my desk waiting to be done.
I just got mine too.. so registration is good for a calendar year? I just got my bike 3 months ago or so.. so I was surprised to get another form in the mail!
At least we can do it online.
That's annoying because I'm going to register the hyper and then re-register it 45 days later![]()

My question is why must we register our bikes each year @ $25 and every other year on autos @ $42or $41 can't remember. It costs more to ride a bike per year than a car, when we're saving fuel and do less damage to our lovely roads???![]()
I thought the RMV was no longer going to send out paper reminders? Or was that just for cars?
That's for license.. don't think it applies to actual registration.
I got my reg renewal forms for both my bike and my trailer ( trailers are Nov - Nov )
got it last week and re-newed it last night. ready for another year!
I got mine and attempted to do it online but it got rejected, didnt realize mine was good until dec of 2010 so I guess I need to wait
sweet, I've posted this in years past, so thanks for the reminder db
strangely enough, I haven't seen that registration reminder yet
well, it's good to know others are getting it so I can keep an eye out for mine...if I get it or not
They letchya register for two years if ya pay double? Got one last piece of bizz in Va to settle and then flip my cars and DL to Ma. Be nice to do it every two years instead of one. Good news is State Farm's lettin' me renew the cars and C-14 up here for the same dough as down in Virginia cuzz I been with em for 30 years. Can't beat dat!
thanks for the reminder. i'll try to do mine online.

this caught me by surprise as well. I bought my bike in october. I had never owned a bike in MA before and was unaware of this. One day i had to put my car in the shop so i took the bike. It was feb i think, anyways, i got yanked by a detective and watched my bike go away on a tow truck. they do not screw around!
Simple Answer: No
Like I said, I think if you buy/register/title a bike in Massachusetts at this time of year, they'll register it for 2010 and charge you a bit extra to cover the remainder of 2009.
Please confirm that with the registry/your insurance agent as I am NOT an RMV employee.
Whoops, totally forgot to renew my reg.. so now it's expired, obviously. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need to go through the whole RMV-1 form BS again or is it just a one and done visit to the RMV?
