The reason the track was extended was to extend lap times, hopefully to make things easier on the scorers. In the rain people were hitting 40 second laps out there, the estimate I heard is 1:30 for the new layout.

One of the things that cracks me up about this vid (other than me almost binning it trying to bunny hop at the end) is the fast dude right at the beginning saying "YO! GUYS! MOVE YOUR ELBOWS CUZ I SWEAR TO GOD I'M COMIN RIGHT THROUGH"... then 30 seconds later in the vid when we do start he got a super shitty start.... good jump but popped outta gear or somethin.

That was the same guy that clipped me on the last lap of practice, generating that ever so flattering shot of me on my side sliding into 3rd... He stopped and checked to see if I was ok though so it was all good.
And I forgot about the guys with the pit board, that was hilarious.

Man that looked liek so much damn fun. I wish I had known ahead of time I woulda def ditched the knobbies and given it a shot. The dumpster looking you straighti n the eye coming out of the warehouse woulda sketched me out a little bit thuogh.
that track SUCKED! it really favored the dirt guys. the hill was a mess by the end. and the warehouse was so slippery. i think they should have picked one or the other(warehouse or hill) the hill was just too inconsistent and the warehouse had no traction. i thought i was gonna bend a rim on the hill. i did shitty, placed near the back but i qualified for all my mains and i crashed a bunch and i think there was some serious cheating going on in the limited class.

I freaking gun it up the hill and ended up in the metal fence. snap my clutch lever and my bike can't get out of 2nd gear.

That track definatly wasn't working for me. I think I only did good in 2 races all day. I got second in the Fat Boy LCQ and that was about it. I couldn't believe how many times I got loose and just barly caught it. I eventally started riding the warehouse leg out. That was strange with low bars.
Carlton, we wondered where you went. I have a parts motor with a bad trans. If you bent the shaft the shifter goes on or anything on the shift star, you can rob parts off mine for free.
Trying to go leg out was even stranger on my 70, I'm a good 6 to 8" lower to the ground, and leaning forward hard... I could barely lean with my foot scraping along. I was really surprised at how BAD that concrete was, couldn't get any grip from my tires but it ate the soles of my boots up like candy?! I was figuring it'd have MORE grip than the polished surface at MIK, but I guess the lack of karts rubbing in rubber over time makes a big difference.
Was it just me or are cold race compound tires worse than cold dot rubber tires?
They're worse than cold DOTs for sure.
