Just wondering who plans to race this saturday at C128. I raced there two years ago and the course is very cool - all pavement with a jump on one end and then through the warehouse.
Should be a fun time. This is my bike - '81 xr80, front tire is on the way...

If I had a mini bike I would. Sounds like it's an effing blast.

Youd be surprised how seriously some take it. Ever seen $7k pit bike?

showed up there 3 years ago with a drz110 with a 134 kit..as i walked through the pits looking at all these redic bikes some of them with tire warmers i was like this is gunna be a long day....i agree with oxx these guys take it so seriously..i mean i had fun but when your brain shakes lined up next to these pit bikes with 450 motors and your checking to make sure ur bike is still running gets aggrivating haha

Don't let the big fancy looking machines intimidate ya. Most of them are either over carbed and can't handle anything other than WOT without dying or are so tightly strung that they'll blow something before the day is done. : )
The Cycles 128 race is like NHMS, it's a technical course where carrying speed is the key. Yeah the guys with big motors coming off dirt tracks know how to point and shoot around the track on nothing but motor, but if you know how to connect the corners properly you can eat up the big machines with stock piles as long as they're tuned decently.
Oh, and a properly placed elbow beats motor every time!![]()
From Davo himself:
They are also looking for enough scooters to show up to run a dedicated scooter class.Originally Posted by David Olcott
I went there 2 years on a KLX 110 and had a blast. Most of these guys have no idea how to run a road course. Anyone coming from loudon will have a blast.
Also I would leave the leathers at home and run your motox gear. Much easier to run on these little bikes than full leathers in my opinion.

when it was strictly road course (the first year I did it in the pouring rain with Alex) it was a blast. Then they added the hill climb and the big $ bikes starting showing up. Then they paved the hill climb and added the concrete warehouse and guys with sponsored rides with tire warmers and 4 bikes. If they shitcanned the warehouse it would be fun again.

Yeah, I did it back when it was just in the parking lot & it was a fuckin blast. Actually nabbed 3rd in the stock fiddy class and it was the first time I'd ever ridden a mini so it wasn't like it is now, ruled by the fast guys. Got a sweet trophy, too![]()

If you're riding, get there EARLY. Place is small and fills up quick.

Im planning on heading over there... and Ill be showing up on my bike so I have more parking options.
Probably wont make if over there until like 11, though. Ive gotta run down to the south shore early in the morning.
People should wear NESR nametags or something so I know who is who, haha.
I took my son (7) who was skeptical because it was in a parking lot not a real race track.
He completely changed his mind once we got there, and had a great time!

I was there for a little while from about 12 to 2... but ended up going out riding instead
