Are you thinking of a set of these for your track day?
If so, save the money. It's way more tire than you need to do a track day. Plus, its a race tire and shouldn't be used on the street afterwords. The 2CTs that you mentioned is a perfect tire for track days.

stick with the the 2CT for the street. they dont seem to mind the low asphalt temps around here and work just as good as any other tire when its hot.

Ok, I'll try this again since someone obviously disapproves.
If your 2CTs are in good shape, then you should run those. If you are in need of tires (or should find yourself in need of tires anywhere in the future), the comparable tire from Pirelli would be the Diablo Corsa III. The DCIII gives you:
* Performance as soon as you need it;
* Confidence on normal roads and top performance on racetrack;
* Improved corner entry while still braking hard;
* Exploitation of your bike's potential to the utmost.
So, If you happen to need some tires, and would like a set of these truly amazing pieces of rubber... Start by going HERE, next you want to migrate over to HERE. (You're almost there, I promise). Then just a quick click to HERE. Click on the sizes you would like. And then on to HERE. (yours will have tires selected, just so ya know)
You have just successfully purchased some of the worlds finest tires from one of the worlds finest companies. Your tires will be at the track, waiting for you to have them mounted by the trained staff at BOSTON MOTO Track Time... PERIOD!
Better now Scott?

What kind of mileage do people get with the Corsa III?
On litre bikes, that is.
The Power One has two versions - commercial and race.
The commercial version is a street / trackday tire. Only one compound and the front is only one shape. The street version gets rave reviews from our customers for its very high grip level and very neutral steering.
The race version comes in many different compounds and two different front tire shapes. The fronts come in a soft, V shaped front, and then the round profile A+B compound. The rears come in A, B or C compound. The 190 only comes in 190/55-17.
A=soft, B=medium/soft and C=medium.

With all the slabbing you do to either get to rides or get home after rides doesn't it make sense to stick to a dual compound hard in the middle so you don't wear that center flat spot as quickly?
I know nothing about tires so this is strictly IMHO... but why would you need a more aggressive street tire than you already have? Unless you start doing exclusive trackdays....
I want to move to stickier tires on my ST3 as I'm just not wearing them out before they harden up due to age... 'course a good chunk of that is due to me riding less since I've become a track junkie...![]()
My Pilot Powers are almost cooked as well so I'm in the market for some new tires for the Z at some point...![]()
