I just finished a 270 mile 2up back road scratch....my FZ1 rocks, the chassis and suspension are head and shoulders above my loved and lost zrx1100 & it's just plain faster all around..... that said I'm worn out....zrx brought locomotive power.... two up fifth gear passes no problem..... river running maybe I'll put it in fourth.... bus stop missed a shift? third gear no problem.... Just a great all-around street motor properly geared.... Bottom line both bikes work great but in a perfect world give me a fuel injected rex with a center stand..... and before you start the bandit is on the radar but Folks it's fat & the riding position doesn't suit me
Exactly why I could get rid of mine since I have three other bikes to ride, but I won't.
Going on year 9 and I still love her.

I'm not giving mine up anytime soon!
I just ran pretty much the same route without a pillion and i gotta say it levels the field but im still "busy" on the fz.....Mr Iglu i hear ya had the rex 10yrs & it had 5 different stablemates in that time not a one got the miles rex did![]()
Rex is a nice bike. I liked my 1200 but it was just too heavy and big for my application. Motor was great though no doubt. Didn't need FI to make it great. Carbs always worked fine.

I'll have another 1200 at some point. Sure wish I hadn't wrecked the last one.........
