Cogito, ergo abeqito.

Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
I'm for it.
When in doubt, gas it out. I've gotten out of more "situations" with the throttle than the brakes.
Hold my beer, watch this.

Between tax collection and drivers ed standards these days my philosophy is somewhere between "why bother" and "is it worth it" lol.
Ride like you are almost invisible, and every driver on the road is a drunk, nearly blind sociopath who wants to kill you.
“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
I think it's better (& cheaper) to be fast on a slow bike, than to be slow on a fast bike
but for the record, I"m slow on a slow bike...still a f'n blast though!!
If you don't have a personal philosophy already, I'm sure you can find one that suits you somewhere in here:

Riding is like Zen Archery. You decide where the next corner apex is and your Mind's focus is what gets you to that spot. The motorcycle becomes only an instrument to propell your experience through open space (A nicely set up race bike helps). Like the blindfolded Zen Archer....
Then there's the cornering. When done right the "G's" push you so deep into the frame so that your legs hurt afterward. You drop into the bike's sweet spot lean angle, feather the gas, resist using the brake, lean/tap the apex spot and tuck-n-go. No cops, no cars just track so close you can smack it with your clutch hand. This is the "Safe Place" for me.... Forget the road, ride the track!!!!!
I have seen many riders walk away from a track crash. No so on the road..... I leave the road for my Orbea Aluminum/Carbon frame Road Bike.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
if the time to put on gear is less time than the ride to the destination, then a ride it is, regardless of road/weather conditions
