interesting . . . wanted to do last years but it feel through
ohhhh just realized I'd only have to take 1 day off from work . . .
So Bomo . . . lets get a team for this? lol
Looked on the list didn't see a single super sport bike lol Guess there's always room for a first . . . might need some risers and a comfy seat first

Just humored myself and the distance between the start point and end point is 320 miles without checkpoints . . . . anyone got a more comfy bike I can borrow? lol

Never done one but I think you should plan on something between 500 and 1k miles a day for 3-4 days.
2008 Kawasaki Versys 650
1972 Honda CL70
I'm thinking I'm thinking
If my health care bombs through then no riding for me till its straightened out.
That sounds like a lot of fun. I'll spread the word.
yes, would be curious to do this if the boss at home allows

I guess I don't get it. It's not who gets it done first but who gets the most checkpoints? Last year it appears there were 12 checkpoints and a lot of people got all 12.

Not sure I really get it either, but I would be interested if we got a group together. I haven't done a whole lot of long distance riding but this might be cool.

I was looking at the results, so I assume 12 total.

Sorry I missed this before my repost. 12 Checkpoints in all. An average of 350 -400 miles a day. There were some ss type bikes but mostly ridden by the " course marshals" lol. An 03 Mille, '10 ZX6, and of course my '07 Tuono. All are welcome, even non participants. And yes Pints around the fire pit always. Check out last years pics on the Birch Bend Motolodge Facebook page. And guys anytime you want to bring a group up, we'll make sure you have a great time. Come ride with us!!
There is another thread going on about the same subject:
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...on-2011-a.html
The idea is that you ride to these check points get there and take a picture of the landmark (which is the checkpoint) and your assigned badge to say that you were there.
Last year there were 12 check points every one made it, which was the first time. There were a couple of people that did not finish the first day and didn't want to continue for.
The ultimate goal is to ride as many twisties and "Knotches" as possible over 4 days, riding between 350-400 miles per day. It is not like a track day, it is not like a ironbutt, or a cannon ball run, it is a bit of it all.
You have 24 hours to reach all check points and make it back. There is plenty of time to ride during hours of sunlight and at posted speed limits, that was my disclaimer.
Would be cool to see some sport bikes along side tours and sport-tours.
