I always like to buy vehicles based on my comfort instead of gas milage. I definetely didn't buy the R1 for gas milage. I bought it for the smiling-village-raping![]()
42ish on my SV naked, commuting. Higher if I'm taking it easy.
On a more serious note: I used to think I only got in the 20mpg range. Then someone else with a TL-R pointed out that the 5-something gallon tank usually only took about 3-1/2 gallons at fill up. Low & behold, sumbitch was right! So about 100-120 miles per 3-1/2 gallons would put me at about 30-35mpg's. Gained 10 miles per gallon without doing a fuggin' thing other than pay attention. Badda-BING!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
If your concerned with gas mileage why did you buy a liter bike? go buy a Vespa.

My 9R has been getting 48 MPG lately. Mostly back roads, mostly top gear 45 to 50 MPH.
84 Ninja 900
32-39 mpg most of the time, better in cooler weather.
ZRX1200, ~36mpg, highway, pop-a-whilly's, rolling smoke-burn-stoppie-outs, dirt road or whatever.
3-4 grand on the tack is where is runs nice and has more than enough torque to pull any stumps out that need pullin.
KLR? 60-65 mpg, jetted. 245 miles without hitting reserve last time. You want range? I got your range right here!

My 1000 has given me as much as 120 miles before the fuel light came on. It normally gives me about 100 miles before the blinking light. And on one "spirited" ride it only gave me 67 miles before it was time for more go-go juice.
I have no idea about the 06 750. I can't remember the last time I ran it through a tank of gas in one outing.

About 35mpg on the Strom before the meter starts blinking. Of course, the air filter had a critter house in it complete with nuts and grass when I replaced the stocker a few weeks ago so hopefully my mileage will go UP now.
