I have this dopey 1999 Hayabusa and the left side front fairing is missing the Hayabusa symbol with red lettering. When I look up the part numer on cheapcycleparts or the like I get 3 options.
.EMBLEM, LH FOR M9S
68191-24F00-N3B
EMBLEM, LH FOR M9T
68191-24F00-N1G
I assume that M9S & M9T are various paint or color scheme codes but I have no idea which mine is.
This is the bike:
If I call Bettencourts with my VIN, could they tell me the color code and correct part number?

They might be able to. You'll have your best luck if you call and ask for Dave.

Looks like that dog is getting ready to claim it as his own by pissing on the front wheel.
I wouldn't even be mad.
