    NESR Dyno Day???

    Would there be any interest in this? If so, I'd like to get a tentative 'sign-up' going here. Understand, this is just to get an idea of who/how many may be interested. This is NOT a sign-up list, just a list to see who'd be interested...

    Keep in mind, though. This WILL cost us. We'll hafta find a shop willing to either open up on a Sunday or close to the public on a Saturday. Then we'll most likely be responsible for paying a coupla employees wages for the day, not too mention use of their equipment, etc...

    If there's enough interest, I'll start talking to a coupla shops that would be somewhat central to us all. And keep in mind that finding shops with dynos isn't exactly the easiest thing to do either. Just add your name to the list if you're interested, and we'll see what we can muster up...

    There is a shop in Nashua that has a dyno night every wednesday at 6PM. I haven't checked out the price, but I'd imagine we're going to pay a lot less if we don't insist on having the dyno all to ourselves.

    I got a buddy that owns Vance and Hines's old dyno.
    He's in a residential area, but has been working to sound proof his cell (garage? LOL!)

    I could give him a buzz, and get some prices, if he can keep the natives happy. He's in southern NH.

    Gotta have 2 awards...... less HP made, and Most HP made.

    Don't know much about dyno's; I'll find out if it is bike specific.

    Did anyone get a rough pricing on this? If it is at a shop with gas analyzer and we have employees there are they going to help tune the bikes(carbs)?

    I'll call my buddy and see if he's doing it still.
    Most Dyno's are inertial Dynos. Meaning you accelerate a known mass..(big drum your rear wheel sits on..) Then it calculate how much HP and torque is required to do the task. Simple enuff!
    What we would like to have is a set up that corrects for altitude, and atmospheric conditions...

    yeah, JC and JJ, I thought about that.. and bringing a laptop with Power Commander Software. Also, there are some new PCIII's that allow for single cylinder injection tuning to lean or richen up a single cylinder rather than just all of them. Hmmm?
