He's working to finish up the exhaust baffles to keep things quiet.

15-20 guys? I think I could give them a real good rate for a group that big. We could even do something
like, load up and get at least three pulls or as many
as required untill the power curve is repeatable and
then let them off load to the drive way to re-tune
while the next guy gets a dyno run. If they want to
load up again and re-test it would only be like a $10
charge to do the next 3 to 5 pulls.

A'ight bitches! I talked to Paul Nault at Nault's in Manchester, NH. I haven't spoken with Mark's bud yet, but here's what Paul has for us...
We need a minimum of 30 people. Paul's willing to open up just for us on Sunday, October 6th. The cost is $50.00/person for the day. For the $50, we'll get a few pulls on the dyno with 'tuning sessions' in between each pull. He's also gonna have TWO service tech's there to help out those with Power Commanders as they are a certified Dynojet Tuning Center. He's also gonna have a coupla parts guys in for us too, and they're also offering 15% off parts or service if anyone wantsta order something or make an appointment for service...
So basically, you do a pull, ya get your graph. Pull 'er off and tinker with your PC, Yosh box, carb needles, whatever. Get 'er back on and get another graph. Rinse & repeat...
If peeps are interested in getting this catered, I can call around to get some prices for that too. I'd figure for 30 people, it'll cost around the $500.00 mark for a decent spread. So I'm guessing that it'll be an extra $15.00 or so...
If this is what we all wanna do, he wants a deposit (refundable ONLY if they hafta cancel) by mid-September, and the balance BEFORE this happens. I'll collect the checks, cash, or money orders. If you're sending a check or money order, make 'em out to NAULT'S, not me. Repeat: Make it payable to Nault's, NOT ME! I'd rather not deal with cash. Make it out to Nault's, and I just hand 'em all over to them. Much easier...
Right now we have just over 20 people that say they'll do this. I'm not even gonna think about persuing this with them until money starts coming in for it. JC & I are NOT putting money down up front for this, this one is up to everyone else. If I don't have a good chunk of the money for this by say, the 14th of September, I'm gonna tell him to forget it...
Think about it. For fifty bucks, you get a bunch of dyno pulls and you get to plug technicians trained by Dynojet about how to tune your bike...
So lemme know what you wanna do. If there's enough interest in having this catered, they said they're alright with that. So I'll look into it if it sounds like that's what we wanna do. Just keep in mind that a caterer will want a deposit too...

Does that mean that they will tune the carbs there on the spot until its good?? I'm not interested in the catering but if they will tune the bike right on I'm all for and might be able to get some non-members to go too if that's ok. How much to tune carbs or is that included in the $50 bucks?

Highly doubtful that they'd do the tuning for you. Keep in mind, this is only costing us each fifty bucks. You can't even get an hour of shop time for that little these days. But there will be tech's there to discuss what you should do. And if you make an appointment with their service dep't, you'll get 15% off service and parts if you need 'em. But no, not for $50. But when you're done, you'll know exactly where your bike needs to be corrected....

FWIW... I'd definitely be interested, if it wasn't for the price. my ole sled is pre-FI, pre-PC... and a dyno run would just satisfy my curiosity as to how much effect my K&N & ignition advancer might have had on HP. my curiosity ends @ about $20, tho. if you don't get the #s this guy requires, didja give up on Mark's buddy? sounds like he'd be lookin' for bit less cabbage... and I'd be a definite, if we went that route...

Jeff, the graphs you get would show you where your carburation needs to be altered too. Just not as easy a fix as if you had a Power Commander. But you'd get the same benefit of knowing EXACTLY what to do once we're done...

agreed, Jay. in fact, I did a Dyno Day w/ that "other" NE bike group last year ($15, as I recall) and found that... while a pipe & jet kit had pushed peak HP up to a mind-boggling 73 @ the rear wheel, there was a MAJOR flat spot that needed to be addressed. seat-of-the-pants dyno tells me that's smoothed a bit, but I would like to verify that. however, can't DEFINITELY commit to the 50 clams just to satisfy that curiosity.
