Have a tall seat kit and need to have the OEM foam removed and a new cover installed. Anyone have a recommendation in the NH area? Thanks in advance.
We're in need of some boat upholstery and this guy comes VERY highly recommended. He's in Randy's neck of the woods...

never heard anything bad about their work, but like another local upholsterer, I've heard they are a bunch of independent mutherfuckers that take their sweet time, but I think that goes with the territiory, upolsterers are not lacking for work
I used Jim's Custom Trim last spring to repair the door trim on my Jeep

Check out Vintage Steele in Brattleboro, find them on FB.
And don't believe everything you think.
I'm looking for a recommendation to get a seat re-covered in MA, I know this thread says NH but everything else was 10+ years old.
Where should I go?

Bemis Upholstery in Keene is also a pretty good resource. I've had them refoam and cover both a motorcycle seat and a snowmobile seat, and my buddy also had his motorcycle seat foamed and covered. We both had very good experiences with them.

After getting quoted 150-200 to just get new covers on my seat, I decided I'm going to do my own. Material cost is about $20 for a quality cover. Can't be that hard

I had a friend that was getting into bike seat building. He did a very nice job shaping the seat, not so good on the cover and sewing it together. That takes time and practice to get good at. He did two seats for me, both in leather. The first he shaped it and laid it out, but had someone else do the sewing. That seat came out great. The next seat, same thing, but he sewed that one on his newly acquired $1000 sewing machine. It wasn't as pretty, very comfortable, not pretty. If you can find someone that does nice work with a sewing machine on small things like seats, and using leather, you are going to pay for it.
