so, i attended the M/C expo last weekend, and while it was totally not worth the price of admission, it was something to do.
anyways, i came across this company that makes these custom M/C trailers and while they were a bit overkill, their tie downs were awesome.
they were a ratchet type tie down but in a seatbelt type housing. you release the lock and pull out the strap (its self retracting like a seat belt). hook it up, and then a couple ratchets and your done. it even self locks, so if you have the bike all loaded and hit a big bump and the suspension compresses a little the ratchet will lock on the next click (make sense?). it bolts to the floor on a swivel point. they were really cool. i cant remember the price tag on them but they do sell them separately and come standard on all trailers.
heres a link. there is a pic of the tie downs towards the bottom.

Oooh, I remember those trailers from the Shriners.
They automatically opened and closed and dropped the rear edge to the ground. They were slick, but very pricey.
