So I went to leave my house this morning and come to find out they repainted all the cross walk lines wtih nice new slippery paint. Damage done.....right side mirror, fairing, lower fairing, new rev'it jacket and my pride.
I should have seen it and slowed down. Shit of the whole situation is I still rode to work and went over the same line 10 mins later at a snails pace and STILL the bike kicked out. Man that sucked.

Guess it takes too much time and logic for them to do that shit at night? I know it costs more but damn - doesn't sound like doing this before rush hour makes the most sense.![]()
Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
suckscouple of weeks ago in Brookline they were redoing all the stop lines leading into a rotary, I didnt notice any slippage though. The machine they used to lay down the paint was pretty cool.....

They didn't set up signs about the paint?
Not trying to stir the pot....I'm honestly curious.
Glad you're okay.
Well after looking closer at the paint tonight I found a fine powder that was sprinkled all over the paint (turns out that is what makes is reflective) but its all loose and no stuck down.
I will be contacting the city and filing a formal complaint tomorrow and seeing if they will pay the damages.

That sucks. I've never had a problem with road paint before unless it was raining out. Sometimes tar snakes are pretty bad, I think some companies use different mixtures because other times they are fine. I usually don't mind when the ass end slides around a little, anybody that has ridden behind me knows that, but I usually do it on purpose![]()
