I had my first Oh Shit moment in years today. Headed to lunch on my Duc. Cruising down Beech St. in Holyoke catching all the green lights. It's a main thru street... ONE WAY. As I approach an intersection Just lolling up to it, a woman takes a right on red STRAIGHT AT ME!

There were cars parked to the corner, so She literally appeared out of nowhere, and I was so NOT expecting it. I got on the brakes hard, but I wasn't likely to stop in time with the closing speeds, so I looked right to see the car that was behind me was now next to me. The woman coming the wrong way was SMILING!

I countersteered a bit on still on the brakes and the back end came right out super motard style and I eased off them shooting into the gap between lanes. By this time I was going slow and the woman pulled into an open parking space, so it wasn't that close, but that was a serious convergance of factors. Could have really wrecked someone's day...

With that said Paul, i'm glad you were able to avoid a potentially life threatening situation and make it outta there alright.... I'm glad you weren't hurt.
