It was me... I live about 15 minutes from there.. and its a pretty nice parking lot to do it.
There are some tarsnakes in the middle and toward one side. but the southern end is really nice.... and no poles or trees to hit if I lowside.
I do that activity for strength training(for my motorcycling legs obviously). I stop by after work as many days as I can for my workout. I go through alot of pucks as you might imagine.

It also helps me control my fear.
If I train with leanangle and stay familiar with it.... it takes away a little bit of the fear factor in cornering. I'm more relaxed and less likely to tense up if the pucker factor gets a little high.
umm... and its fun too hehe.
Just for the heck of it... The other day I was trying to see how slow I could go and still get the knee down and keep it there. about 15-16 mph is as slow as I could go.

What speeds do you usually do it at? Do you just maintain yourself going in a circle with a knee down or what? Sounds fun.![]()
I like someplace around 22-23mph for parking lot fun there. I usually don't do circles... I do figure 8's... but I don't put the knee down unless i'm on the south side of the parking lot. Each lap alternates right and left knee.
The road that leads to the DMV... there is an intersection on the way there. If the light is green(going east on Rt4 coming from Durham), it makes a nice little chicane where you can get your right knee down and then snap over to the left knee. You gotta hit it right though.... and its probably not the safeest place to do that either.

Low speed (20mph) parking lot riding can be fun.
I rode through last winter, and when it was too cold to go for a 70mph run, I'd go out and do a 20mph one.
If you don't see a picture here, it's because I took it off my webspace.
I pressed the 5 button on my phone and it said message length 3 minutes 50 something seconds. then I pressed delete!Originally posted by hardcore

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
I used to prcatice low speed stuff in the same parking lot. Small world.
Ever practice front brake locking there?
I practice braking there yes. But its mostly the turning excercises right now.
I plan on being there after work most of this week as well.... as long as the light holds and its dry. Should be there around 5pm for about a half hour until light fades.
Wow... topics really change around in threads here. hehe
