I saw one the other day... kind of looked like a Suzuki drone....

2007 Husky SMR 510 - no longer... blown tranny
From what i've heard, that's pretty much what it is, a knockoff sv650. There's a newbie over on ODFU that has one.Originally posted by snowborder

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Hey, at least I told him where to go if he wanted to talk to an owner![]()

Hyosung has been around for years making scooters and even did contract work for suzuki, building parts for the SV.
it has similarities for sure

Hyosung designed the SV650 engine for Suzuki, and licensed it to Suzuki. Or so the story goes....
I have a few dealers who sell them and like the product. The only problem I usually hear about the SV clone is the brakes - very wooden.

story I hear is that the Suzuki engineer that headed the SV design went to work for hyusung, original SV engines were built by hyosung under Suzuki contractOriginally posted by Karaya One

the engines are as different as everyting else
SV=645cc Hyosung=647cc
SV= crappy damper rod fork Hyosung= crappy USD damper rod fork
SV= aluminum frame Hyosung= steel frame
Price of the Hyosung insn't much less than the SV, but I understand the Hyosung has more room to dicker

There was a recent edition of Cycle World that compared about 12 "cheap" bikes - the FZ6, SV650, that Hyosung, and a bunch of other bikes.
They said that the Hyosung really was a very decent little bike, and the only thing they could find to bitch about was the "suspect" cheap looking brake system and lack of a strong dealer network for warranty work.![]()
No point
Only of interest if it was like 4000
you can get a real sv for same or less money

They have a few back in Oz, I think they are actually quite good for what you get?
www.mcnews.com.au has some reviews, they were quite impressed (and they are quality reviewers).
I saw one at the track during the Loudon Classic over near 1a.
I still think they are too cheap and they are getting Huge Mark ups compared to how much they were first going for.

I've heard the same from everyone else...they're cool little bikes and overlap with the sv650.
Has anyone seen their 250? It looks hell of a lot better than a ninja.
Moms south has them for sale. I bet it is a pain in the ass to get parts for if you need anything.
