Just curious what your impressions are.

But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

A friend is interested in the FJR, talked to the dealer about buying one. Basically, he was told to give them money and maybe he'd get one in the fall. I have not seen one yet and this thing was supposed to be out last year.
Apparently they are available on "order only" with a deposit. You won't see one in a dealer. Yamaha is taking a wait and see approach still with the FJ, you can buy one if you order it, but they don't have any on the dealers floor.
Let's hope it's not a new trend, though with guys running into their dealers and putting down deposits on bikes sight unseen, you can't blame Yamaha.
My father went to Sky Cycle last week with cash in hand, they told him that they weren't sure if they could get one, so don't bother putting a deposit on one. You would think with all this demand, they would either jack up the prices or make more of them!

I believe the 2003s were $10,499, and the 2004s are $11,499. I know they raised the price after the 1st year offered here. You would think with all this demand, they would either jack up the prices or make more of them!
