my thoughts on passing

1) take every chances to pass on the dotted line. pass the whole line of them if you can.

2) pass a single car only on double yellow.

3) passed anywhere before the twisties.

4) at a known LEO spot, stay behind cagers so you dont get nail.

what are your thoughts?

as a general rule i try not to pass police cars, fire trucks, ambulances with there lights on & school busses.

I was behind a firetruck awhile back on the highway, he could only or would only go about 70 in a 55, I passed his ass

I think that was his way of saying the following:
On a double yellow, only pass one car at a time.
and not
Only pass a car when there is a double yellow.

i pass when it looks safe, i know i have ample time to make it and i cant see cops anywhere.

I dont pay too much attention to solid vs dashed lines.

i dont think i push my luck too much on the street though my roomate would probably tell you otherwise.





firetrucks can be quick.

we blew by a firehouse with the sirens going in a camaro so we wouldn't get stuck behind the trucks. the owner (not i) thought his car was hot stuff.

the fastest freaking truck i ever saw came out of the firehouse on way to a call, and passed us like we were standing still... we were doing 110.
it was my buddy's dad driving the truck. he got a kick out of it.
i nearly shit my pants when the giant brick wall went flying by.

Not always true. Always be careful, pissed off cagers will pass over double yellow too. Ussually without signal or checking the mirrors.
