Its only downfall is it's a big, heavy bike but it doesn't feel it once rolling and it's a benefit for touring / highway riding and hardly notices a passenger. Unlike a large ST bike (FJR1300 or C14) I like it for it's naked look for commuting and around town duties, it could use more weather protection but I'm happy giving that up for the overall awesomeness aspect of it.

Plus, it's got a Kerker on it, and chicks dig Kerkers.
Miss mine...got totaled 1yr ago. Put 80k on it in 9yrs. Got to be one of the best street motors of all time.

An endurance bike would cover all of my requirements for the perfect motorcycle.

I dont think you can buy the perfect bike, you need to build it. Thats what I did.
290Lb, 120hp....500cc rz350 based engine, oil injection, low seat height, not bad on long trips, simple engine to work on, tons of parts cheap....I think its ideal, only thing wrong might be the little wait for the engine to warm up before you ride. Had a zx-14, thought that was ideal but soon realized its just to big and heavy to enjoy anything other than highway use.

Fab up a 2-up tail and throw in an adjustable shock (which that most likely already has) and I'm done. Perfect.

I'd need both... the single for 95% of the time, and the 2 up tail for the occasional ride with the lady.

That bike is amazing... I'd love to have the skills to make something like that.

Multistrada 1200s will be my next bike. When I'm older, probably a Goldwing and something street bike.

NO way, my perfect bike would have to have a throttle and grips

You know, thats very similar to a bike I wanted to build. I see a need for these type of "Bullet" bikes. Super fast ,very comforable, handling is fine but not superbike like.... A sit down seat posistion. Am I the only one who thinks this market needs bullet bikes?

    I'll go first then.

My perfect bike for me would have to be the SV650. I've never owned one, but have ridden them, but I have had Duc Monsters. They do everything well. Touring, riding to work, trackdays, even LRRS. Great bikes.
No Brainer: BMW F800 S or ST, probably ST, more comfortable.

Quick, torquey, light, nimble, comfortable, belt drive, solid as a rock and great suspension, perfect riding posture for me.

I've ridden a ton of road bikes at one time or another, and I knew what my next bike would be as soon as I rode it last week for the first time. As I say, I love parallel twins but there are exactly two sporty bikes in the U.S. (No TDM 850/900 here, ahem) and I own the less expensive one already, the 650R.

I hear you bro, but not good enough on the highway for more than an hour. I love that bike and the LC400 too.

whats your zrx got on my fjr? commuting with a faring and electric windshiels is nice. You are right about the weight on a track though so a track bike is needed.

    Wink Re: The Perfect Motorcycle

I love my 93 cbr 900rr the old red, white and blue it is the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. The newer bike are real nice but to skinny for me that chunky old cbr fits me like a glove and I can literally ride this bike all day long. I have ridden this bike 850 miles in 19 hours next summer I'm going for 1000 miles in 24 hours. The bike rides perfect for me the only thing I wish it had 200hp instead of 130hp. I add soft saddle bags, tank bag and tail bag and I can go anywhere at some point I'd like to take my bike from Mass to California and back. We'll see.
