I recently put on Tech Spec "Snake Skin" grip pads. Needless to say I really like them, and I'm glad I bought them. They really make a big difference in comfort/control, even more than I thought they would. I think they look pretty damn cool too:

Now I need to have the rear seat cowl painted black/red to match the front a little better.

Nice SV. What handlebar mirror is that? Is it legal to only have one on the left like that? (and do you find yourself missing the right-side mirror?)

That's got to be one of the sharpest looking SV's I have seen....actually
that is the nicest SV i have seen.
Great work.
Oreo: I've thought about getting clip ons or clubmans, but I really like commuting on the SV, and doing distance riding. Those are far from optimalIf I get a KLR or another comfy bike I will do that. Why, do you have any you'd donate?
Personally, no. I do know a few guys that have them and like them a lot. The only "negative" I've heard is that they aren't that comfy if you wear jeans when you ride. I personally don't like the look of the shiny plastic on the tank. They don't blend in well IMHO.
"Nice SV. What handlebar mirror is that? Is it legal to only have one on the left like that? (and do you find yourself missing the right-side mirror?)"
It's a third eye bar end mirror (bicycle mirror). I have no idea if it's legal or not, all I know is the cop who pulled me over once didn't care about it. And yes, sometimes I do miss the right side when I'm on the highway, most of the time though it's great. I have a new set of mirrors arriving soon, we'll see if I like them more.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone!
