Turned the bike on the warm it up before getting on my truck to store it away for the winter. Apparently, the bike was parked on a slight hill which caused it to roll forward & flip up the kick stand. Bike fell down causing my new clutch lever, bar end, and stator cover to scratch. The mounting bracket for my left Pig Spotter broke, and the mirror fell off.
Now before everyone says "good, put the OEM ones on now", 1tail sent me 4 brackets when I ordered 2. Looks like I now have one more item to add to the paint list for the winter.![]()
Dude, that blows. At least you've got the next 4 months to get it lookin shiny and new again
shiney? F that. I'm covering this shitbox with Nerf foam. Lowside, down in driveway, broken clutch cable, snapped chain in 3 months (with being off it for 2 months with the broken collar bone from the lowside)
here ya go

perfect! wonder if i can paint it to match the bike. that exhaust looks like it'd be louder than my hotbodies slash cut
considering the fact that it's a rocket bike, i'm sure it is.

The mirrors did it !
They are evil, rid yourself of them before they
do more !

haha, i knew you'd be all over this thread akira. but when i ordered new mounting brackets from 1tail, they sent me an extra set. so it looks like they'll be back on again. i needed to take them off to get the nose repainted, just sucks that one of the brackets broke.
Too bad you have the extra brackets, or else you could have gotten rid of those gay mirrors.

well i kinda got used to not folding them in every night when i go to cover the bike. plus that's twice the bike's gone down and the mirrors were fine. my OEM mirrors would have broken
My cover fits on with the mirrors out... get a nice Nelson-Rigg cover, one of their higher models. Worth the money.
Stop crashing?
The OEMs should fold in when the bike lowsides... maybe in a highside they would snap off.

you got me there chris. this time wasnt my fault (kinda). i had it parked in the driveway when it fell over. my OEM ones suck, and I think they're aftermarket. One of them had a loose hinge and would vibrate while riding the bike.
