I'm coaching an MSF class with Ken C tomorrow at Pioneer Valley Rider training. Now, I know how to get to the classroom but I just looked on their website to get directions to the range and I don't see any.
Can anyone clue me in on where the range is?
thanks

Derek found his way.
This was one of the FREE Sport bike ERCs. Believe it or not, the RMV had a tough time filling the spots. People just don't believe they need training.
Damn didn't know they were offering this but I guess it wouldn't have mattered due to my license suspension![]()

I'm sure most NESRians would readily sign up. But, the target audience is the squid with no knowledge of what they don't know.
Jane, good for you because doing the box on a sportbike is tough. You end up having to counterweight a lot, lean a lot and turn the handlebars almost full lock. Of all the bikes I have ridden in the U-Turn box, the easiest was an ST1300. The thing practically turned itself.
yeah...and throttle control ALOT because I was so far off the seat that if it had started to go over, there is no way I would have been able to get my foot down. (and it was the dotted not the solid)
amazing what you can do when you are given a challenge and your as stubborn as me!!![]()
Yew be right about that, woman! When I got the C-14 last week, I stepped off two parking spots 8' wide each and two long-wise, got off the seat, locked the bars, and manipulated the throttle. There's no point, really, cause no u-turn is that tight, the exercise is just a challenge. I was doin' figure-eights inside a block of four, 2 length-to-length, 2 side to side from the start. I'll give MSF credit for the exercise, if not the method. Ya have to look behind you to clear the paint, but if you force yourself to look ahead on sweeps, look behind you on the U-turns, add gas when ya get in trouble, well, all things are possible.![]()
I was the guy in charge of security at the base this passed weekend...If I knew it was free I would have brought my bike to work!
Welcome, Sarge! Was it you who I asked permission to ride on the tarmac instead of on the sharp rocks?
It ended up that I punctured my CS3 rear tire riding over the sharpest rocks EVER on the way back to the parking lot to escort the crew to the riding range.
I had my "Stop and Go" repair kit and gave the students a lesson in roadside tire repair. Only one CO2 cartridge meant that the ride back to the range was a bit wobbly, but I got home okay after a visit to the gas station for some more air. The tire plug didn't hold air completely, so I spooned on a different tire when I got home.
