WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Westfield motorcycle dealership Popoli Powersports has become the latest casualty of the bad economy.
A sign on the front door of the Springfield Road dealership says they are closing due to uncontrollable economic conditions. It also says they are finalizing arrangements with a potential buyer to take over operations.
One customer who stopped by to pick up parts he ordered last week was upset about the unexpected closing. "They probably knew what was going on for a couple of weeks or months. Why would they take my credit card information, my money out of my account if this was going to happen?" said Richie McBroom.
The Popoli Powersports website tells customers with bikes in the repair shop to check back for instructions to pick them up.
22News called the dealership for comment but have not heard back yet.
Wow that's a shock. I grew up in Westfield and almost lived in that place as a kid. Really good people in there. They put up with us kids real well and we inturn went back for bikes and parts. That's a real shame.

Rick Currier at Intense motorsports fucked me out of money the same way that guy is getting it.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Popoli is pretty well established, I think they will probably do their best to balance their budget with folks before going MIA.
