Has anyone ever opened one up.
Is there really anything in there but a resistor and capacitor
Everytime I ride behind one I smell the raw gas like an old hada.
Hey PIII rules I am getting .5 more hp and up to 31 MPG.
Remember when jetting and needle adjustment cost $20 and got you 10 HP and 45 MPG. and a snorkel was bought at Woolworths for a dollar and almost drowned you.
Your friendly tree huggers at work trying to drive you back into your efficiency apartment where you belong you thx 1138

bigred is the coolest and yes a really nice Katana is an oxymoron!
that "wOOt" saying is ghey and the power commander is only as good as you program it for. If you program your home pc to turn out garbage you get garbage.
And yes there is more in there than just a resistor and a capacitor. It is a microcomputer comparing data to what it is given and sending data ( pulses) to the appropriate FI.
By the way it only works on FI bikes so if you bought one for your old "superbike" then think again.
Hey Joe put that response back in here!

Before I had cams installed on my bike and a custom map put on the PC3r it had 164 and change at the rear wheel on the base line dyno run. When the mechanic was done I had 184ish. There is no way I picked up 20hp from cams, I wouldn't even think 15, so in my opinion the PC3r works just fine. Like someone else posted, it's all on how well you tune it. The maps you get with your exhaust or from the dynojet website aren't really worth a shit, but when you get a GOOD custom map it's worth it.
A good map on a PC should be able to gain you in the neighborhood of 8 - 10 RWH...I gained 9 RWH with a custom map on my TLR...It made a HUGE difference, expecially in throttle response...
