got pulled over for riding a motorcycle

This was a first for me today.... I got pulled over for just riding a motorcycle. I was riding with 2 other people all in full gear going between speedo indicated 70-75 mpg on 95 south...lots of traffic that was going the same speed. He was going north bound and said he witnessed up "racing around" and weaving in and out of the lanes. We entered the highway and worked our way into the left lane and keeping in a staggered formation. He called a trooper on the side we were on and got pulled over... $100 for unsafe lane change and the icing on the cake is I was using my friends r1 with a fucking stupid plate relocator that tucks it under the tail and he gave me a $35 ticket for that and wrote my friend up for concealing the plate, which is a criminal charge......

I'm not one to bitch when i get a ticekt i deserve, but this is complete bullshit. He has no idea wtf he is talking about and now i get a ticket.....and when i fight it he'll be there and tell the judge that i am lying and i get fucked....

Where at? In MA, the MSP have been given in$truction$ to target "aggressive" operators. That sure is some bullshit. It's getting to be about time someone markets some type of video surveillance shit for the purpose of protecting the innocent from this type of harrasment. Funny thing, our local PD is opposed to in-car cameras.

Sorry about that Big Red. I would fight this one too if it doesn't cost you a days pay etc. and might help with certain insurance premiums, if any. And if you fight this one, make it very clear that you were using your directionals when changing lanes and traveling through traffic safely. As far as the license mount, and certain indicator lights in general... I think some registeries have submitted a bill before Congress for approval, but nothing has been finalized. So, you might get that 35$ dropped as well. Fight to live and ride another day! It all sounds like harassment to me.

Dude, that's some bullshit. I know in MA they are def. targeting "agressive driving", but it is way to subjective.

    I would fight it.

    That's discrimination.

When I am done with him, that sargeant is gonna regret ever pulling us over. I'm drafting a letter to his barracks commander demanding discovery in the form of all transcripts of radio messages between the two officers, any and all video footage from the cruisers & his logs for the entire day.

I've put a very persuasive argument together that the officer should seriously consider making the magistrate make this one go away unless he wants to look pretty stupid in court. I have outlined everything from the fact that he could not see a poor lane change at a closing speed of 140MPH from the opposite side of the road right down to the fact that yet another public servant is driving around writing tickets in some intelligible scrawl that no normal english speaking person can read. What the fuck is up with the state police, can they not hire officers who can write legibly?

Jamie, did you like the way the officers made such a scene that I95 was blocked in each direction with rubberneckers? Gross situation mismanagement I would say.

I can safely say, with complete certainty, that sargeant whateverhisnameis is a complete and utter CUNT. It was all I could do to not tell him so.

We didn't break 75MPH the whole time. We were lane changing properly and all of a sudden, out of the blue a cruiser screeches onto the highway, lights blazing, right in front of traffic travelling at 75MPH. These assholes think they are Starsky and fucking Hutch. I have had enough of fucking asshole cops, I really have.

Fight it. Sounds like the "hunting season" for bikers is officially underway. He "saw" you commit the "infractions"...while he was heading north? BS. At the very least, you may get a reduction in the amount of the fine if you fight it. On the other hand....who knows about the judge....hopefully he wont be the type who just automatically takes the troopers version as bible. Maybe the judge will see the fishy angle on the fact he wasnt even on your side of I95 to begin with. Then theres the rate increase you may get hit with from your insurance company for getting the tickets in the first place. Noice, huh?

There's a few Clowns in every occupation. The whole Massachusetts State Police Department shouldn't be judged by these two idiots. I've had a State Cop pull me over for just being on a motorcycle, but he just hassled me and didn't write any bogus ticket. For the most part you have too do something seriously wrong for a State Cop to pull you over. I would think a traffic violation would be a serious nuisance for them.

These two guys are not smart enough to write tickets. How the hell did they get into a State Troopers uniform? They must be lowering their standards.

There are many times I could have been pulled over, or could have received a Citation and didn't. Just yesterday 02telefonica and I went by a cop doing 50mph in probably a 25-35mph zone. First 02, and then me a second or two later......the guy just looked at us. We weren't going outrageously fast for that part of the road, but about a mile or two down .....I usually do. Better watch what you ask for with the Camera's.......I know in Australia you can have your License suspended due to camera surveillance. I know if I had cameras watching me I would be riding a bicycle for a few months sooner or later.

It hurts to spend two half days in court, but thats not near as bad as it's going to get for our children.......or in my case......Grand Children.
