Goodbye Grom charcoal canister. Keeping the bracket mounted to use for all the aRacer wiring that will go there.

CBR300 motor bolted in and torqued.

I used Grom torque specs (45 N-m) for the bracket to the Grom frame, and CBR torque specs (33 N-m) for the motor to the bracket.

that top motor mount bolt took two nights, and finally 2 neighbors to get it through.
tomorrow i'll get the throttle bodies done and maybe some of the plug-n-play connectors

    I can't use all of the 19hp I have in my K-Pipe, I can't comprehend 30hp in a Grom

there's people on the swap group that punch their 300 out to 357, port and polish the TB's and get upwards of 40hp+

i'm curious what this 300 will feel as my high compression 181 Grom power wheelies in 1st gear with me sitting down.
the 300's have a really bad flat spot mid range that the aRacer does fix over time.

    Re: Project: Grom 2.0

Throttle bodies and radiator connected in.
    Struggling in both.

Radiator has that one bolt for its mounting point. Also the horn bracket keeps hitting the radiator and I can’t turn the bike fully on either side.

Throttle bodies are all pieced and connected together but I couldn’t use a return cable. The Grom and CBR cable was too short. Not happy with the way it’s routed but i haven’t found a better way. The spring is at the bottom and it’s an awkward angle for the cables.

    Re: Project: Grom 2.0

Got the exhaust mocked up as well. It doesn’t connect directly to the can which is a huge disappointment. Also super far away for an under tail bracket.

There’s no brackets to secure the pipe so I see this being an issue later as well.

Also couldn’t remove the exhaust gasket in the motor. I have a new one, but might have to leave the old one in there.

Jimmy, check out Venhill for the throttle cables. I linked their part finder, you can search by bike. When you get to the specific product, there’s a checkbox at the bottom to add additional length.

Degsy just ordered from them and it was delivered a few days after ordering, very good quality.
