I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
this is rad! Excited to continue seeing updates and get your thoughts on everything when complete!
I can't use all of the 19hp I have in my K-Pipe, I can't comprehend 30hp in a Grom

Throttle bodies and radiator connected in.
Struggling in both.
Radiator has that one bolt for its mounting point. Also the horn bracket keeps hitting the radiator and I can’t turn the bike fully on either side.
Throttle bodies are all pieced and connected together but I couldn’t use a return cable. The Grom and CBR cable was too short. Not happy with the way it’s routed but i haven’t found a better way. The spring is at the bottom and it’s an awkward angle for the cables.

Got the exhaust mocked up as well. It doesn’t connect directly to the can which is a huge disappointment. Also super far away for an under tail bracket.
There’s no brackets to secure the pipe so I see this being an issue later as well.
Also couldn’t remove the exhaust gasket in the motor. I have a new one, but might have to leave the old one in there.

Jimmy, check out Venhill for the throttle cables. I linked their part finder, you can search by bike. When you get to the specific product, there’s a checkbox at the bottom to add additional length.
Degsy just ordered from them and it was delivered a few days after ordering, very good quality.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
Once I get the header to fit in the motor, the bike can start. Having clearance issues getting around the frame. Will also need to order a different muffler that’ll fit.
OEM wiring done. Radiator installed. No return cable for the throttle bodies, but I’m told an OG Grom return cable will fit. Need to wire the auto tuner.
Also got the wrong front sprocket. Ordered Grom by mistake and needed CBR.

Bled the brake lines today. I never did anything after removing ABS and installing new lines. So they were both done with fresh Motul RBF600.
Also was able to start the bike and mock up the exhaust and auto tuner.
The map is still using the wrong bike and the auto tuner has no power. So that’s on the next list of things to do.
The bike does start now.

got all the aRacer wiring fixed. i didnt have the autotuner (AF1) plugged in. so now i'm getting air fuel ratio readings on the app when the bike is running.
few big items left:
- get a Grom map base (waiting on laptop cable to update the ECU)
- install the header
waiting on some items in the mail
- Bosch O2 sensor (for autotuner)
- CBR300 front sprocket
- crankcase breather filter
after that i'll have
- bend the foot brake lever to clear the engine case cover
- install the chain
- trim front plastic to clear the radiator
- install OEM plastics
- install aftermarket side fairings
still undecided on what to do with the throttle cables as i dont have a return cable, but also want to switch to a Motion Pro Rev3 kit.
also want to upgrade the master to a Brembo RCS14
i have fresh Michelin tires at home waiting to get installed.
