And the new Hindle exhaust. This fit perfectly. Just need to make something to connect the hanger

it starts but still having idle issues. it looks like there is air coming in at the throttle bodies. not sure if the TB's are bad or if the OEM clamp is worn. i'm borrowing someone's spare TB and getting some more silicon couplers to make sure everything is air tight

New silicon coupler to replace the OEM clamp to the throttle bodies. This fixed my air leak issue!!!

Now I have a proper 13.3 air fuel ratio after adjusting the idle back to 1600 - 1800 RPM and tweaking the fuel adjustments in aRacer.

Trimmed the inner plastic fairing to fit around the radiator. Dremel arrived today, so it was perfect timing to check more items off the list

    Re: Project: Grom 2.0

Now that the bike runs, I can install the OEM bodywork and the aftermarket side fairings. Because this motor is wider, I won’t be able to use the middle lower vent to connect the two sides together. Might have to just use a zip tie.

    Re: Project: Grom 2.0

Front sprocket arrives today which is the final piece.

I can install the chain and front sprocket today and ride it around the block.

I’ll need to get a bracket made to connect the exhaust to the undertail. Currently using a zip tie just to hold it up for now.

Then fresh tires and angled valve stems are already ready to go on the bike.

it doesn't look too complicated from the pictures. A piece of steel strapping, a vice with a BFH and a drill, your bracket will magically appear.

    Re: Project: Grom 2.0

    More fun:

Sprocket arrived and tried to do the chain and sprocket.

Ordered a rivet link, got a clip. Tried to install the clip and it broke in half.

Put the lithium battery back on and it never charged. Reset button wasn’t enough juice to start it. Swapped the lead battery back on and the screw fell down the tail into the mess of wires I can’t get to.

This bike is another day from going on the market and giving up.
