What's up riders... Well I'm usually one of the many that sits back and read the threads rather than post. I guess there's a first time for everything.
Well my question is "do any of you guys/gals find it difficult to see state troopers in your mirrors while riding on the higways? Or is it just me?

allways, unless there blue lights are on![]()
I have been lucky on that topic....
I am always looking in my mirrors, especially on the highway. If I see a car ussually in the fast lane approaching from afar and approaching at a good speed I will move to the center lane and drop my speed until I can identify what type of car it is. Play it safe till you know for Sure. & If it's not, but rather someone going fast use them to get the speed traps ahead of you! A Ginea pig have you! I have had it work out wonderfully many times! Just a few weeks ago a Jaguar flew by me on 93 north thinking he was a hot shit.. Well just past the Tolls he got busted by the "Man"![]()
So when you get a hot shot that want to go fast on the highway let him! Stay behind him 1/4 to 1/2 mile and watch for his brake lights. He will see the cop long before you and you will have 1/4 + of a mile to slow down! He will not, and possibly get tagged! But if you get caught at about the same speed right behind him , the cop can always either try to get you both, just him or the tail car because you would be closer when he actually pulls out onto the highway!
While pulling the Ginea pig manuever you still need to keep a sharp eye in your mirrors, you could still get a LEO tail chaser. Many times I have taken the precaution of moving to the center lane and dropping the just above the posted and get to watch the LEO fly by doing 90... What a good feeling it is when they are wipping by you!
Oh another thing to watch out for! I almost had a duzie last night. On my way home from Lowell I took some back roads, then to 495 to rt 9 East. i was cruizing at 75 down route 9 and approached a Honda cruiser doing just barely over the limit. Passed him and was approaching another bike. It was maybe 1/2 mile ahead in the left lane, I could tell even at 9 PM that he had squared off saddle bags and a reflective cross on his back, then I saw he hit his brakes and I saw he had an aditional brake light high up avove the fender. Well I slowed down to the posted coasted up eventually next to him at a stop light to find out it was a Framingham Cop on the Harley!

All this sounds good but I remember a day a few months ago when none of us saw the man coming up from behind. Mike, do you remember? You should, it cost all of us a little coin.
Of course it is no ones fault but our own, so no blame. Just keep your eyes open and go with your gut.

Yeah I forgot about it till now... But it was only $75 and did not go against Ins! So No biggy, after the kind of riding we did that week, we got off very easy!!!![]()
But as you say this is not 100% effective all the time. Some cops are sneaky and catch you red handed! Bastard......

Oh thats right you don't do shit at work, kind of like what I have been doing lately....![]()
I'm waiting to hear back from the Doc to see about getting cleared to work. The skin is still very sensitive and the Nurse is not sure if I will be cleared yet, do to my line of work! I may have to go back in for a follow up visit. Kind of like the visit I asked about when I last saw the Dr... Dumb asses....This is a workmans comp accident, & I can not return to work with out a clean bill of health otherwise if anything happens to increase damage to my hand either my Company can get sued or I will never see anything for compensation. All depends on who is responsible for me getting sent back to work without proper clearance.
So till then I am fuckin bored and find myself surfing here a lot!
