Anywhere from 2000-3000 non-commuting miles. The fronts are also worn enough to warrant replacement by then.
A word of caution to Sportech M1 riders - those things go off BIG TIME once they touch the wear bars. Dangerously greasy.

I have a little over 10k on my Azaro STs (AV45/AV46) with prolly a couple k left, I am very happy with the performance, on the older Azaros (AV35/AV36) I only got in the 6k-8k range and they did not perform as well either but were round throuout thier life(no flat spot or scalloping)
MeZ4s also lasted 6k-8k, but significant flat spot and scalloping,
D205s lasted 10k, but also had flat spot & scalloping, although I was satisfied with their cornering traction, I never put on a second set cause their braking traction scared me
Pirelli MT60... warm weather 1500-2000 miles at best, winter 4k-5k. phenominal wet tire, good on cold pavement too... they got a bit greasey on hot dry pavement on longer rides

I got 6K out of a pair of Dunlops last summer. Used up every last bit of tread and then some.
I now have BT010s and I like them. Have about 2.5K on them and there's plenty more left.
I'm lucky to get 3k miles out of tires. Then again I change my tires a little bit earlier than some people. Nothing sucks like riding on worn tires.

When from a stock dunlop D207, 4500 miles out of it...
To a BTO10 and got 10,000 miles out if it. Lookin for a new one now as it is all used up.
" Never create what you can't control "
I pretty much shoot for 5K on a set. And I always change front & rear together, no matter what the front looks like. Although they're usually ready to change at the same time, unless the rear gets prematurely burned up at a certain party....![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I have heard that front to rear tire ratio is about 2 to 1. can anyone relate?

Ya think? That baby is shot. I wouldn't be doing no triple digits on your scooter until you get the tire replaced.Originally posted by gonzo6

Chaparralmotorsports.com (or something like that) has good deals. Pick one up and bring it to the track next race weekend...
Where'd you hear it? Almost everything I've read says it's best to change 'em both, no matter the condition. Next time you change your rear tire, take a good close look at your front. Notice the uneven wear on that front? Notice how on each side of the tread groves, there's different wear? Take a look particularly just to the left of the center groove. Notice how uneven it's wearing compared to the same location just right of the groove? Watch for 'scalloping' and 'cupping' on the front. Just because it's not down to the wear bars doesn't mean it shouldn't be replaced...Originally posted by gonzo6

Found a BTO10 rear for $108.00 plus shipping.

Understood dood, BUT my front has less then 2k on it. Cant see any uneven wear.Originally posted by Stoneman

H O W E V E R>>> i DO see your point.

I got 10k out of a mez4 rear.. and have 5500 on the current BT012.
I usually change both together, because I like to try all different tires and want a matching set...but I have found that fronts do last longer than rears for me.

The longest I ever got a 207 to last was 5k miles. 10k? I want to see a pic of that tire.

I agree. 10K miles outta sport tires??? I've never been lucky enough to get much more than 5K outta 'em. And my fronts usually aren't in much better shape than the rear...![]()

I gotta agree with that one, no way can you get 10k from a "sport" tire unless your a total wuss, I have been lucky to get that from "sport touring" tires until I tried the Avons.
my opinion is that for the street, a super sport tire is a total waste, (I wouldn't want to get caught in the rain with them)and a sport tire is almost a total waste, but prolly a good compromise if you are doing track days too.
if you ride 100% street, a sport touring tire is the best bet.

So far on my ZRX1200...
BT020 rear tire: 9,000 miles (until wear bar)
BT010 rear tire: 5,000 miles (until wear bar)
On CBR1100xx...
D205 rear tire 10,000 miles (until wear bar)
D220 rear tire 8,000 miles (until wear bar)
No burnouts or track days on any of above tires. Combination of some highway and some twisties.
14" Biceps. So what if I am weak...

OE spec tires are sometimes longer lasting, by design, than their off-the-shelf counterparts, so some riders will get surprising milage out of their first set of tires, i.e., D207ZRs.
