Well, I was on the motorcycle and I was trying to steer away from my car while looking directly at it and the more I turned right, the more the bike turned left and then I tried to lay her down but I guess the bike must have some steering defect.

Indeed. The bike (2000 something Sportster) faired pretty well. Nothing broke except the ball end of the brake lever. No scratches either.

The Focus was not so lucky.

7. the owner trying to lift the wreckage

9. t-shirt
10. fender 3/4 way torn off
11. part of the car on the sidewaly in front of the door.

6. Helmet is the owners. I told him he should enjoy his chin after a wreck and to get a real one.

Exactly how far did he get? Did he crash while trying to back the bike out of the parking spot to begin riding?

Hey.. I did something like that my first time on a bike. Planted my grandfather's Rebel 250 in the shrubs across the street from our driveway. Missed the mailbox by 6" or so.

I believe it really helps to at least understand how a clutch works-conceptually-before trying to ride like that.

Why would the owner let the crasher ride the bike with ZERO experience on a motorcycle? I don't know either of these guys, so I don't mean to be rude, but it seems to me they're both in the wrong here.
The owner for letting the crasher on the bike and the crasher for believeing he could ride it because it just "looks" easy.

Only in a grass field, or a wide-open parking lot. Even the open parking lot is risky!
