Good luck. If it all goes to hell make friends with someone from Maine, "sell" them the bike, have them get a Maine rebuilt title, "buy" the bike back, and your good to go. Sort of a pain in the ass, it will cost you 40? or 50? extra to get the Maine title, and a few days.
And I hope you're going to Bridgewater. I don't think the Revere/Haverhill guy will change his mind.

Get your bike sorted out and registered, then file a complaint against that trooper. Seriously, they are public servants and there is no call for that kind of abuse.
I'm in NH and my firend has been trying to register his bike with salvage title for 6 months now with no luck. It was stolen out of mass and they won't remove it from the list!

sounds like a big pain in the ass, good luck anyways.
I GOT IT!!!!
different guy did the inspection, went smoothly
this is how it should have gone the FIRST time!
the nightmare is over!
congrats........
hmmmm......
this thread should be stickied to show the perils of this scenario......
hmmmm......
1) unless its a absolutely astonishing deal,
2) you know what the hell you are doing,
3) you can fix the vehicle for much less
4) you are willing to take a large hit when selling
if not. then its not worth it.
its clearly hit or miss with this kind of thing, it seems like every inspection station and trooper has their own set of rules.
wait.
FUCKED AGAIN.
waited in line at the DMV for 2 hours. Because a small privately owned dealership sold me the vehicle I need to have an EIN/FID#
which they dont have in their system of course. As a result I have to call the IRS and have them fax this company's EIN/FID# to the RMV, Which I hope this place has, because if they dont have one then I'm ultra fucked.
you deserve a brand new bike^^^ after all that..
Well guys after battling the state of MA for months on end I finally got my bike registered and insured today!
I picked up my plate after 2 hour wait at the DMV.
I'm just glad this nightmare is over!
Thanks for all of your help and support guys.
Glad to hear it finally worked out for ya!

good job sticking it out.
one time way back i was in the same situation and i ended up buying a frame with title and having a vin plate made for the bike. (because it turned out to be a slightly different year where the frame had minor changes)
not the best option but sometime you gotta save yourself
