A man without a gun is a subject LETS GO BRANDON
A very patient cop. In Virginia, if they knew your insurance was expired, they'd have the car on the hook so fast it'd make your head spin, why'd the cop let THIS mutt go?
That reminds me of another reminder of what to do if pulled over. Always strive to pull into a privately owned parking lot, if possible. If, for some reason, your vehicle cannot be driven after the interaction woth the police (if you are arrested, they deem the vehicle unsafe, etc.) they can only have it towed if it's on public property. Might save you a few hundred bucks.
This has pros and cons. Last time I did this the cop and the later called backup spent over an hour tearing my car apart. I don't think they'd have done that on the side of a the busy road we were on. His reason? I was being "suspicious" by having out of state plates, being out @ 1AM, and pulling into the lot instead of just pulling over. And I seemed "nervous".
It only got worse when I couldn't give him first and last names for everyone in the car after he pulled me out of it for questioning. "Uh, that's so and so and the rest are her friends, I think it's "firstname" "firstname" and "nickname".
