My buddy who rides a Harley has a fake beanie with the sticker on it. I asked him why the hell he just wouldn't buy a real helmet, "the one I have looks dumb."

Priorities when bar hopping with the bike.

Talking to a coworker the other day. He told me that there was an accident two years ago on the street we were driving on at the time. A lady pulled out of a side road in front of a HD rider wearing a beanie.

While it was acknowledged that she was at fault for the accident, the widow could not sue as he died of head injuries wearing a fake DOT helmet.

    Case Dismissed.

Any officer that is familiar with Snell ratings would know right away that the Snell sticker is not found on beanies, 1/2, open face, or flip-up helmets.

Not true! The HJC AC-3 is one example of an open face, Snell approved helmet. Besides, no officer would be concerned with a Snell rating as it is not required by law. Only a DOT rating is required.
