    Wirelessly posted (HTC EVO "DROID" : Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.3; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/GRI40) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

It turns out that my original thought that the reg/rec on amandas gsxr was incorrect. $55 fuck up there. Turns out its the stator. I tested the output and one of my tests came up as 1v. I don't have a book for this bike, but looking through the repair manual I can see that on the sv the stator is mounted to the cover. Any one know if the same is true for an 01 gsxr 750 or if ill need any special tools?
I just want to know if I can tackle this relatively easily or if I just should have a shop do it.

    Re: replacing stator

not 100% sure but usually they are usually just bolted to the inside of the cover. just becarefull with those bolts mine were a pain in the ass to get out

shouldn't not anything special just have to fight the cover off cause of the damn magnet

    +1 to what Dan said..

Also, make sure you torque to spec the cover bolts, and don't over-do it.

The stator is bolts to the cover on my 02 600. I have a PDF manual if you need it.

Its an easy job just make sure you make sure to keep the bolts in order as on my gsxr some were longer than others. Oh and make sure nothing gets stuck to the magnet like one of the bolts lol.
