Ok guys, help me out here....which one? Pros and cons..I have my opinions about both...both pretty much the same price...go!
No brainer. S1000RR with traction control.
What are you going to use the bike for?
Rippin the skreets wit my boiz obviously sir!
I fucking hated my 1098. Great bike if you were doing a 100, or looking at it.
I sold it and bought a s1000. Nice bike, but for the amount of power it has it needs better brakes and suspension. It also has a terrible vibration in the bars, hands are numb within 20 or so minutes. That supposedly can be fixed with heavy bar ends, I haven't done it yet but I will.
IMO, at the end of the day, it's hard to beat a gsxr with good suspension.

FWIW, 848 is much, much more useable around town than a 1098. It was a joy as a street bike. The motor is incredibly addicting and playful, whereas the 1000RR is going to get you in more trouble than allow for fun on the street IMO.... and I know of one w/ a Penske, fork work, etc. for sale... in the fastest color, RED.
s1000rr
(No balls to start the season with a new bike)
hmm..I already have the gixxer with suspension...need a good "once in a while" toy..
I like the way you think....but I think it may come down to the test ride...wheres that test ride thread?? Im going to make sure they take me on routes where I am noticed and stop for coffee, hopefully someone will tell me I have a nice bike. Whichever one gets me that compliment wins.
pm price and chances of selling please...
Mmmm, 1000RR. Haven't ridden either, but would personally go for the BMW.
Interesting choices - most would not compare the two. They are different. The S1000RR is really a terrific I4 machine and has a top-end like no other. Are you ever going to explore that top-end? Most likely not unless you spend a ton of time on the track. The 848 is actually similar to your GSXR 750 in power, but not in the way it is laid out. Your bike is a much more comfortable and smooth machine. As a toy, I would get an 848EVO. If you are replacing your GSXR and were to have one bike I would get the BMW.
bmw imo
