Question Anyone on here ride Ducati Superbikes?

I was wondering if there is anyone on this site that rides a Ducati superbike ie: 748, 749, 996, 998, or 999. I can't seem to find any local Ducatisti.

I can't confirm that rumor, but I can tell you that my 996 is the most uncomfortable bike I've ever sat on. I'm sure the 999 is just as bad, if not worse.

How do you like your Aprilia? I thought about getting one, but I ended up with my Duc. They both are great bikes in my opinion. And please tell me that Aprilia riders are not like the RC51 riders on speedzilla.zeroforum.com. All they seem to want to do is tell us Ducati riders how stuck up and stupid we all are for spending as much as we did on our bikes.

And thank you for the welcoming

TL-R owner here. If it'll make ya feel any more cozy here, I'll be glad to go out and dice it up with ya. Just don't get all pissed at me when ya realize just how 'real' the TL-R is....

SO I take it that no one has answered my original question of "who on this site owns a Ducati" because there aren't any. Oh well. I still would love to hear from Aprilia riders about their bikes.

Stone the TL is no joke. My boy had one and between him on his TL and me on my Superhawk we we're showing the Duc's what was up!!

I like the TL alot. It's a smoother torque curve that the Superhawk. Plus the TL is fuel injected.

Hmmmmm maybe I need a TL??? or an RC51

Forgive me for being blunt, but I can't tell if you're being a dick or just being funny. There also seems to be a lot of middle finger smilies directed towards me. WTF? I was just asking a question

Technically I was. But the reason for this is that I have questions/concerns that are specific to superbikes.

Dont worry about the middle fingers we are just being funny.. There are a bunch V-twin riders here. Once you hang out here a bit you will see that we pick on each other to no end but we all know it is in good fun.

    here is an example...

    Hey Jay..

As for my Aprilia. I was set to buy a 996S from Bruce at BCM But in the 5 days I had between deposit and picking it up I ran into the guys from the Aprilia Dealership.. all they asked was that I test ride it.

I fell in love, the bike is lighter then the Duc, more power equal torque and trust me when I say they crash better. I raced my Aprilia for 2 seasons and it is a very capable bike.

Don't get me wrong I will still own a Ducati at somepoint in my life but my true allegience is with Mi Aprilia..

The Mille' R and Mille' Factory R are insane.

No worries. This is nothing bad, quite the opposite...

This : however, is an entirely different story...

As Scottie said, we rag on one another here quite a bit. No one (including myself) meant any harm. It's kinda our way of saying, "...come on in, the water's great!"

Oh! Also meant to say that if you've got a question about the Duc, ask away. Duc owners or not, you MAY get the response you're after...

    Oh, and
Thanks for the clarification. I see the difference now. I also want to point out that I'm not incredibly brand loyal as far as bikes go. I love all bikes, I just can't own them all.

Well my question pertains to known problems with Ducs(flaking rockers, loosening flywheel, electrical problems, tachometer malfunction). I was just wondering how many people have experienced these problems or known anyone that have experienced them.
I bought my bike at the end of the riding season last year without prior knowledge of these issues. Now that I own it, I almost don't want to ride it this coming season because I don't want anything to go wrong.

I hear that. It's tough to be brand loyal with anything these days, especially m/c's. There's so little difference really between what the manufacturers are all putting out as far as 'hypersports' bikes are concerned. Hell, it's gettin' to be that who ever makes it the color ya want is the one you'll go with...
