A little black dress. What size are you?
I was never a range aid, I just shadowed Degs for a day (but then again, I'm not sure if Joe just kinda overlooked some of the pre-requisites or what.)
Figure out who you would like to work, then contact them. They'll set you up with everything you need before the workshop.

I do actually get paid more per hour coaching than my full time job of 10 years at an insurance company. Take that for what its worth
Yeah, the extra few hundred bucks a weekend doesn't hurt, but they make you earn it!![]()

Looking to set myself up for staying involved with the motorcycle community over the long run, and giving a little back at the same time.

I helped select Coach candidates several years ago and one of the primary things we looked for were a person who demonstrated the ability to communicate clearly in front of a class full of people. We also looked for maturity, intelligence, and the ability to ride very well at 20 mph.
Oh, and you have have a boatload of patience and be good with people.
The same criteria listed above applies to becoming a trackday instructor, except you should substitute "20 mph" with "120 mph".![]()
Thank You Ken! Your words of wisdom are GREATLY appreciated!
Now lets see if I can get all the stars lined up for this to work for me. I am very anxious to get started in this adventure. Wish Winter wasn't so long......
I'm in the process of filling out the application for the Rider Coach program. It's good to know that the taking the basic rider course requirement within a year isn't set in stone. I did it two years ago and have close to 30,000 riding miles since then.
I just sent my application into Streetwise Cycle School. Hopefully I hear back from them.
Streetwise has some pretty cool guys coaching, I did their BRC with my girlfriend when she was getting her license 2 years ago
