Rode to work today. Anyone else?
Wasn't too bad in Boston.
No electrics in my gear either, just lots o layers!
Cold knees and thumbs but that was about it.
Don't have it be that I'm the only one!
2008 Honda CBR 600RR
Yea, same here. No heated stuff, just layers and wind protection.
Bikes going away for winter this weekend.
I'm seriously considering buying a bike with a higher output alternator (Honda GL1000, maybe?) so I can power heated gear for year-round riding.
riding to commute or recreation?
took one of the dirtybikes out...free hourse powah!
I saw a Zuma rider out today in Worcester. Just a jacket and a wool cap. You might have thought it was a nice fall day!
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.
Check out my eBay store!

Looking out the window now at work at the setting sun and feeling cold!
2008 Honda CBR 600RR
already a good amount of ice in places here.
I rode today. It was around 20* all day. No heat, just layers.
If life gives you lemons... Sue the motherfu**er!
"Last" ride of the year was a few days ago. Winterized and stowed the Tuono 1 month ago. Stowed the RT after my last ride a few days ago. Sigh.
(A guy where I work has been riding his K1300 almost daily recently, including the day it was 20 deg with 30 mph winds! Wow. Not sure whether to be impressed or sorry for the guy.)
Enjoy it before things turn white this weekend...very white![]()

Mine is in the vault, but I saw two riders on route 2 this afternoon around 4:15pm while I was on my way to work. They were going eastbound. One guy had regular cargo pants and tennis shoes on! I could see his white socks pulled all the way up! lol. That ride must have sucked really bad.
I ride year round...as long as the roads are clear of snow/ice.![]()
Roads here have been covered with ice/snow/slush for the past two weeks. But I put the studded tires on the XRL last weekend, so I'm planning to get out for a ride tomorrow.

I had to quit a few weeks ago, don't ride comfortably below 30 specially at 19 degrees in the morning for a 30 mile ride at 80mph that probab a 20 deg wind chill as well. Riding home in the dark is real nice also! Time to target shoot and![]()

2008 Honda CBR 600RR
I ride daily to work - short ride in Boston. Sometimes use electrics, sometimes not. Was 14 degree coldest this week (i go to woek early) and a balmy 19 this morning. It is cold, but tolerable for a short commute.
Dan the VFR or the Duc?
2008 Honda CBR 600RR
Both - I don't winterize. ;-)
The VFR is hooked up for electrics - the Duc is harder to get to the battery, but I think I'll put a plug there as well.
