So I am in the process of buying a set of Marchesinis for the CRF and found out that the rear is a 5.5" instead of a 5". Will the 5.5" fit in the stock CRF swinger? I'd really like to get these wheels if possible.

I think they offset them so they'll clear, assuming they are made for the CRF?
Best answer would be to call QTM and ask them, they are the US distributor for the Marchesinis and should have the info you need.
My answer would be, the 5.5 wheel should be fine, there are many supermoto riders out there with a 5.5 inch rear wheel on their CRFs

5.5 " rim = 180-200 size tires = kill your power with the extra weight of rubber. What about the sprocket and the chain. won't they rub on the wider rim and tire even more.
5"= 160/165 size tire.
