Just wanted to share my experience.
Finally, I am fully legal to ride anytime I want to. Been riding with just a permit since last season and decided it's time to take the road test. Took it yesterday at the Dorchester Armory RMV. The test was quite easy, a left circle, a right circle, a left figure 8, and a right figure 8. Then went out on the street and rode a short distance making sure the instructor could hear me up-shift and down-shift. Did some hand signals as well.
BTW, if you could, do not go to this place for your road test because you may have to wait for a long time. It's not an actual RMV. So everyone needs to wait outside on the side of the street. It took me almost 2 hours from the time I got there until finished.
Grats.
49 states do it one way, and Massachusetts does it their own way.
congrats
Take it slow for a while
No need to set any land speed records for a while.

~2 hours in->out the door doesn't seem that bad to me. I think that was about the same as when I got licensed in NH umpteen years ago.

What's the difference between a figure 8 to the right and a figure 8 to the left?
