Can anyone suggest a good route or roads to hit around to/from laconia NH? I'm going to go with a friend to pick up a bike at BCM and I'd like to make a day of it.

Since there are no good roads in Mass from Boston, get off 93 at exit 4. Take 102 east into Chester then 121 North through Auburn. Get on Rt 101 east to exit 3 (about 2 miles). Then Rt. 43 to 107. Take 107 all the through Pittsfield. Stay on 107, crossing Rt 128. About 5 miles after crossing 128 turn left on Rt 129. Follow this for about 4-5 miles then turn right on Loudon Ridge Road. As you find yourself at the top of the ridge, in the farm fields, look off to your left and you will be able to see NHIS about 5 miles in the distance. Loudon Ridge Road dumps out on 106. Turn right and follow 106 into Laconia.
I could send you a GPX file from MapSource if that would help.

You can avoid a bit more highway if you take 495 north from 93 and exit at 125 north (exit 51, not sure if it's 51A or 51B). When you get to where it's necessary to go right to stay on 125, going straight will put you at the very beginning of NH route 121 north. It's a pleasant bike road that wends through Atkinson, Hampstead, Derry, Sandown and Chester where it meets 102. After you cross 102, go right on Candia Road, about a mile north of 102. Stay on it until it ends (it's a great sport bike road) and go right at the stop sign at the end. Go straight at next stop sign, and you'll be on 43. Follow DucDave's rouet from there.
stay on 107,
106 might's well be a highway
I'd take 102 all the way to Raymond, at the end at rt 27 take a left, then the first right onto rt 156 to Nottingham where you can pick up 107 all the way into Laconia
once your there, Winona Road and Rte 132 are good rides

Thanks for the tips. We had a great day, logged about 300 miles. We hit a number of nice roads, 106, 107, 175, 25, 118, 112, 3A blah blah. All in all a fun day. I was with bostongixxer (who then became bostonbrutale) and is now boston1098 and very happy about it.

It was an epic ride...we hit BCM in Laconia first where I dropped my Brutale 910 and picked up a 1098. MadManny and I then hit all the aforementioned roads. I'm now a Ducati convert, but I'm happily keeping my gsxr for the track...unless, of course, I can get myself down to VIR or a bigger track somewhere. MadManny spent most of the day scrubbing off those chicken strips. Almost there...
