Belmont's a nice town and all, but my God the roads are ridiculous. Coming down Trapelo to Belmont Ave the pavement is so bad, I feel like I'm riding through a third world country. And the side roads are almost as bad.
How can such a wealthy town not afford to fix their roads?![]()
ya I used to live in Belmont, I swear my rear end would hop off the road constantly.

Yeah it's awful. Coworker who grew up here says that the roads are a big political issue, some mayor or town manager decided to stop spending money on them and they went to hell.

It's one way to help keep speeds down.
And don't believe everything you think.
What I heard about Belmont was that they are trying to force the state to fix them, since most of them are Route somethingorother. Doesn't seem like they're winning the battle though.

iv seen a few pretty deep craters around my apartment in Belmont, seems within a day or two they have been filled in but overall yes they suck, esp the road leading from the high school to fresh pond area, seems like that has been destroyed for a few years now and they just keep making it worse rather then better.
I bought my KLR so I could ride through Belmont.
